The Youth Group will be attending R.U.S.H. (Reach Unlimited Spiritual Heights) the weekend of September 17th at Freed-Hardeman University.  Please sign the sheet on the bulletin board in the back of the auditorium or contact Michael Guy by September 5th if you plan to attend.

The Youth Group will be hosting the Ice Cream Supper which is scheduled for Sunday night, August 29th following the evening worship service in the Family Life Center.  Please bring home made or store bought ice cream and desserts.  Everyone is invited.

Thanks to everyone who helped with this outreach effort.  We were able to help 74 families and 114 students due to your generosity.

We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Nile Todd who passed away on Tuesday, August 31st.  Visitation will be at the Cheatham County Funeral Home from 12 to 8 on Thursday, September 2nd and the funeral will be at 2 on Friday.  Burial will be in the Charlotte, TN area.  Please keep this family in your prayers.

We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Daniel Greer who passed away on Sunday, August 8th after being injured by an IED while serving our country overseas.  His funeral was held on Friday, August 20th at the Pegram Church of Christ.  Please remember his wife Stacey and young son Ethan in your prayers.

We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Juanita Winfrey.  She passed away early Sunday morning, August 15th.  Her funeral was held at the Cheatham County Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 17th.  Please keep this family in your prayers.

We also extend our deepest sympathy to Jerry and Sheila Gross on the passing of Sheila’s mom, Christine Brown, who passed away on Sunday evening, August 15th.  Her funeral was held at the Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson on Wednesday, August 18th.  Please keep this family in your prayers.

 We have been able to help several families in Cheatham County with supplies and appliances.  We are no longer able to obtain additional appliances.

Family activity for ages 3 thru 4th grade – will have a picnic at the Bull Run Recreation Area on Sunday, September 19th immediately following the morning worship service.  Please bring a picnic lunch.

• Gladys Adcock is at Hillcrest Healthcare Center, room 306C.
• Bob Albright fell at the doctors office on Tuesday, June 22nd and broke his hip.  He is recovering from surgery and undergoing therapy and rehab at Hillcrest, room 303W.
• Anthony Allen had emergency hernia surgery on Saturday, July 3rd at Centennial in Nashville.  He was able to come home from the hospital on Thursday, July 8th.
• Tom Balthrop is recovering from an automobile accident.  He has a fractured vertabra in his neck and is now wearing a smaller neck brace and hopes to be totally healed and out of the brace in 8 weeks (8-16-10).
• Jerry Gross is recovering from a serious foot injury.  He was at St. Thomas Hospital over the weekend of August 16th due to low blood pressure and low heart rate, but was able to return to his home on Monday, August 16th.  They have adjusted his medication.
• Annie Krantz has been having serious kidney problems, but her condition has improved and she has been taken off hospice.  Please continue to keep this family in your prayers.
• Madolyn Mitchell spent a few days at St. Thomas due to high blood pressure.  She is recuperating at home.  
• Nannie Conner is having trouble with her legs
• Harold & Linda Glaus.  Harold is struggling with cancer and Linda is also dealing with health problems.
• Roy Mangrum is under hospice care. 
• Nile Todd has been at Centennial in Ashland City for a couple of weeks beginning the first part of August.  He hopes to come home within the next few days.
